At FACT Design, we believe your ceiling shouldn't just be an afterthought—it should be an experience. We specialize in the design and manufacture of Folding Acoustic Ceiling Tiles (FACT) that transform the standard, utilitarian tee-grid into a canvas for architectural expression.

For too long, designers have viewed the acoustic tee-grid as a limitation to be hidden or "fixed." We see it differently. We embrace the grid as an organizing principle—a framework that allows for rapid installation and limitless creativity. By working within these standard parameters, we’ve created a system that is:

  • Effortless to Install: Our tiles simply drop into any standard 9/16” or 15/16” grid. No complex hardware, no specialized labor.

  • Dimensional by Design: Drawing inspiration from origami and geometric art, many of our products ship flat and "magically" fold into three-dimensional forms upon installation.

High Performance: Utilizing 9mm Polyester (PET) felt, our tiles provide superior sound absorption while maintaining a Class A fire rating.

Where Art Meets Science

We don’t work in a vacuum. FACT Design thrives on collaboration with some of the world's leading artists, mathematicians, and engineers:

  • The Origami Masters: We partner with renowned paper artists like Peter Dahmen and Paul Jackson to turn flat felt into structural masterpieces like our Brut and Origami collections.

  • Fractals: Through our collaboration with 13&9 Design and Fractals Research, we offer the Calm Collection—patterns scientifically designed to reduce physiological stress and improve concentration.

  • Integrated Light: In partnership with ARON Lighting, we offer "Lit" versions of our tiles, seamlessly integrating high-performance illumination directly into the acoustic system for a clean, fixture-free ceiling.

Our Sustainability Commitment

Good design shouldn't cost the Earth. By shipping our tiles flat, we drastically reduce our carbon footprint during transport. Our primary material, PET felt, is not only durable and lightweight but also highly sustainable, helping projects achieve environmental certifications without sacrificing aesthetic impact.
