Tela designed in collaboration with paper-folding artist Peter Dahman translates complex folding geometry into high-performance interior architecture.

Drawing inspiration from coffered concrete slabs and structural expressionism, Tela replaces sterile drop ceilings with a dynamic, web-like relief. Dahmen’s paper folding engineering creates a faceted, three-dimensional topography that appears heavy and carved, yet installs with lightweight precision. Light striking the ceiling plane catches sharp ridges and casts deep, raking shadows across its recessed valleys, bringing architectural weight to underutilized overhead volume.

Drop the tiles into any 9/16” or 15/16” tee- grid.

To complement the tile’s faceted architecture, an optional triangular downlight from Aron Lighting integrates seamlessly into the folded geometry. Designed to align precisely with Tela’s triangular facets, the recessed fixture sits flush within the web-like network, delivering targeted, glare-free task lighting without interrupting the monolithic aesthetic of the installation.
